How does fiberglass pool resurfacing compare with paint or marcite resurfacing?

It lasts much longer.

Can fiberglass be used on any swimming pool?

Yes.  We recommend it for ground gunite, concrete, block and pools with fiberglass walls and a concrete bottom.

  Do you work on spas?

Yes, we can complete the work in one or two days in most cases.

Can you convert vinyl liner pools to fiberglass?

Yes, we can resurface any type of inground pool with a fiberglass shell.

How long does it take to create a fiberglass shell inside an existing pool?

Most pools can be completed within two to three days with two or three workers.

Shouldn't I just use epoxy paint on swimming pools?

Heck no!  Epoxy lasts 2-6 years.  It will become chalky, then crack and blister. The pool must then be sandblasted.

What happens to the tile on my swimming pool?

You can leave the tile in place and begin the shell at the bottom of the tile, or remove the tile and begin the shell at the bottom of the coping.

Can fiberglass pools withstand freezing weather?

Yes!  Fiberglass has tremendous flexibility... it becomes part of your pool and moves with your pool during contraction and expansion.

What color will the swimming pool be when completed?

Any color, we offer a variety of colors.

What color will the water be in my swimming pool after resurfacing?

It depends on the color of the finish. White finish yields beautiful medium blue water.  Darker shades of blue water are possible only with fiberglass because the white is so brilliant that it provides greater reflection from the sky.

  How long will fiberglass last?

25-30 years with proper care.

What happens to drain and other openings?

Everything stays as-is. We cut the fiberglass for each opening.

Can my gunite steps be fiberglassed too?

Yep!

Is the new fiberglass pool surface slippery?

No.  It's a textured finish and is not slippery.  We can also provide a great non-slip polymer for the steps.

  Do I change my chemicals?

Some chemicals will change but you will use less.  Algae will no longer be a factor in pool maintenance. The finish is non-porous so algae can't cling.
